Where is TURTLE CREEK RV RESORT? Do your interests include
Florida RV Parks, Florida Campgrounds, resorts, boating, fishing, diving,
observing manatees, hiking, bird-watching, shopping at large flea markets
or maybe just getting away from it all? If you answered yes to any or all
of these, then TURTLE CREEK RV RESORT just might be the place you're
looking for. |

Located in Citrus County, in
West-Central Florida, just 1 1/2 miles west of US19 (one of Florida's
major highways), on 22 acres carved out of the subtropical jungles of
Homosassa, Florida, TURTLE CREEK RV RESORT is a great campground to
get away from it all. The park gets its name from Turtle Creek, a
tributary which runs through the RV RESORT and joins up with the
Homosassa River just a few hundred yards away.
|
| The Homosassa River is
known world-wide for sport fishing, manatee watching and the beautiful
scenery along it's winding, seven mile run to the Gulf of Mexico.
|
| Many tarpon fishermen
come here to test their angling skills on the powerful silver-sided
giants that congregate in great numbers in the spring while on their
migratory run to the continental shelf of the Gulf of Mexico. In
winter months we have dive boat/tour operators right here in the park
to take you on a real, heart-pounding adventure to observe the West
Indian Manatee in its natural habitat. |
| |
|
| If the wildlife moves you, the
Homosassa area has much to offer. Many varieties of birds can be
observed at TURTLE CREEK including red-breasted hawks, osprey and
herons, just to name a few. Only 1/2 mile away, on the same road to
TURTLE CREEK, is the HOMOSASSA SPRINGS STATE WILDLIFE PARK. There you
will find a most interesting zoo-type setting with animals that are
native to this area (with one exception, Lucifer the 1-1/2 ton
hippopotamus) and many sideshows, narrated by members of the park
staff, to help you to better understand the roles these animals play
in nature. |

our heated pool, play shuffleboard, horseshoes, or street-golf, shoot pool
or go fishing in Turtle Creek. Our streets are all paved and many of our
guests enjoy their daily walks or bicycle rides through the park. |
| |
|
| We have a large, air-conditioned
Rec Hall where our guests may play bingo (twice a week in winter
months), table games, listen to music, have their morning coffee, or
gather for a weekly pot-luck dinner. |
 |
Our shower house is kept clean daily and sports a high rating from our
visitors.
Turtle Creek RV Resort has its own full-service laundromat, open 7
